To: Citizens of East Baton Rouge City-Parish

In 2005, the citizens of East Baton Rouge City-Parish voted overwhelmingly in favor of a large-scale street and road improvement plan aimed at reducing traffic congestion in our parish. This program is known as the Green Light Plan and consists of thirty-six new improvement, expansion, and extension projects designed to alleviate traffic.

While projects of this type have typically taken 5-6 years, I am happy to say we are well on our way with many projects currently under construction and additional projects to begin this year.

Please pardon our progress as we work to improve our city and parish, and please keep in mind the reason behind this entire plan is to upgrade our streets and roads so you spend less time in traffic and get to work and home quicker.

You voted to improve our city, and with your help, we are making it happen.
