Detailed Description:

The Comite River project will provide a three lane curb and gutter concrete roadway that will have sidewalks on both sides of the road and a widened six foot shoulder than can be used for bicycles. The project also includes sanitary sewer and a new 125 ft long bridge over White Bayou. This road project will provide an improved west-east connection between Hooper Road and Plank Road.

Project Progress:

The contractor has finished driving the piles at the bridge. Contractor has completed installing the subsurface drainage line on the north side of the road between Plank Road and the bridge.

Project Look Ahead:

The contractor will continue building the new bridge, installing subsurface drainage pipe, and testing the new sanitary sewer system.
