Detailed Description:

The project will provide a three lane section for Brightside Lane from River Road to west of Nicholson Drive. The project will include sidewalks and dedicated bike lanes on both sides of the road. It will tie into the Nicholson @ Brightside / W. Lee Intersection Improvements project. The proposed roadway will be constructed within the existing right of way.

Project Progress:

The contractor is continuing the road widening. Sewer construction between River Road and River Bend will continue throughout September. All utility relocations are completed.

Project Look Ahead:

Drainage installation is following the sewer installation. Construction of new sidewalks has begun on the east end of the project and is progressing to the west. Roadway widening on the south side will immediately follow the completion of the sewer and drainage installation.
