| Detailed Description: |
Nicholson Drive, Segment 1 is currently a two lane roadway with shoulders from Brightside Lane to Gourrier Avenue. There is a railroad and a bike lane on the west side of the roadway. The proposed typical section is a four-lane curb and gutter roadway with a raised median and a widened sidewalk on the east side of the roadway. The project will provide significantly improved access into and out of the LSU area and Downtown Baton Rouge along with an improved connection to the proposed Nicholson @ Brightside / West Lee Intersection Improvement (GLP Project L1) and Brightside Lane improvement (GLP Project K). |
